Twenty Eleven
Today begins a new year. I’m not sure why, but it seems like people believe that making change is easier to do on the first day of a new year. While it should be just as easy to change our lives on the 18th of June as it is on January 1st, there’s something psychologically motivating about making resolutions of change for the new year.
So here, in no particular order, are a few of mine:
- Drop the weight I put on in 2010
- Dust off my camera more often
- Reconnect with friendships I neglected in 2010
- Bake a cake from scratch
- Always have a book going and read at least one a month
I’m keeping it realistic. I could go on and list even more aspects of my existence that need changing, but it’s unlikely I’d complete them all. I’d rather set myself up for a win.
Happy New Year, ya’ll…
